The main thing to say is that the game has just got a whole lot tougher. For example it used to be possible to get round pace issues by zooming defenders, but not any more, the skill factor really does play it's part and with the new PES 10 you have to really work hard and practice manouevres to get anywhere, just like the real game! The awesome power of the latest consoles on PS3 and XBOX 360 has allowed greater accuracy and realistic presentation. Faces are clearer, the sound is impressive, and it is clear to those familiar with prrevious Pro Evolution Soccer versions that Konami have taken great strides and gone to great lengths to giving the customer a thrilling football experience. Penalty taking is now skillfully managed, response time is one other area that has been worked on and greatly improved on the previous PES, with time lags from pressing the controller now virtually nonexistent. The much talked about 360 degree control is an area still to be assessed completely, but there is no doubt the ability to dribble and dodge other players in a realsitic way is evident. As the defending, shooting, passing and tactical areas have all vastly improved this shows that PES 2010 is likely to be one of the most successful multi platform gaming releases of 2009.
